Adams County Cares Day will be from 10 am – 2 pm at Adams County High School, 7200 Quebec Parkway, Commerce City, CO 80022. This is a resource fair for the residents of Adams County. There will be a wide array of different resources, along with food and games. Colorado Pet Pantry will be attending to pass out food, supplies, and help the residents of Adams County learn more about our organization

Pumpkin Fest is a food drive and outreach event. Residents will donate canned goods and food for pets in order to get their free pumpkin from Vista Ridge Community Center. We will have a table and will be accepting donations.

This is a Warehouse “Open House-Style” Volunteer Day. Come help us in the warehouse! We’ll be sorting donations, building packing lists for pet food banks, and organizing the Share Program (supplies for animal rescues) rooms. It’s a perfect opportunity if you have volunteered with us before to meet other volunteers and, or to come learn about how to volunteer with us in the warehouse. Lifting is required. Please wear closed-toed shoes, and dress for the weather. The warehouse is chilly in the winter and toasty in the summer. Thank you for joining us in this very important role.
This warehouse day will be two separate shifts. The morning shift from 9 am – 12 pm, and the afternoon shift from 1 pm – 4 pm.

The fourth Saturday of the month, the Food Bank for Larimer County places importance on cats and dogs.
Colorado Pet Pantry sets up a tent for two hours outside the Loveland Food Share building, 2600 N. Lincoln Ave., to hand out pet food and supplies to clients of the food bank and others needing the help.
“Our goals are definitely aligned… Whether you’re talking about food for families or food for pets, we want to make it easier for families to manage day to day,” said Paul Donnelly, communications director for the Food Bank for Larimer County, which has food pantries in Loveland and Fort Collins. “We don’t want people making a choice between getting food or medicine.”
In February, the Food Bank for Larimer County partnered with Colorado Pet Pantry, and since then, the pet pantry has served an average of 85 to 95 families per month. As of June, 360 families signed up for services for 875 pets, including 499 dogs and 376 cats.
“Everybody has leftover food from their animals for whatever reason. We want to stop that food from going into the landfills,” said Eileen Lambert, Executive Director of the Colorado Pet Pantry.

The pet food bank at Mountain Resource Center, 11030 Kitty Drive, Conifer, will normally be held on the first Wednesday from 11 AM – 1 PM of most months. In July, it’ll be held July 10.
